WILL Ferrell has been named Hollywood’s Most Overpaid Star.

The Elf actor and comedian topped the annual list by Forbes magazine, which calculated how much moviemakers earn per dollar paid to their lead actor.

After the last couple of funnyman Will’s films — Semi-Pro and Land of the Lost — bombed at the box office, his rate of return has dropped to $3.29 for every dollar of Will’s fee.

This contrasts greatly with the other end of the scale, which saw Shia LaBeouf named as the Best Actor for the Buck in August, earning studios an average of $160 for every dollar he was paid.

Behind Will on the Most Overpaid list was British actor Ewan McGregor, while Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson all made the top ten.

However, Will could turn his box office figures around as he recently revealed he wants to make a sequel to Anchorman, one of his most successful films to date, about a 1970s newsreader.

“Yeah we’re trying to figure out when and how we should do that,” Will has said. “We’re going to meet with all the guys and see if we can actually pull this off.

“With Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd, they’re in different places with their careers it’s a lot harder to get us all together.

“By the time kids are nine months old, they have the physical development and mouth coordination necessary to be able to drink out of a sippy cup or a cup with straw. That development comes pretty early.”

Shu says she doesn’t “know why” Tom and Katie still allow the girl to use a bottle. “You don’t force kids to crawl when they can walk,” Shu said.

Although Tom wanted the adorable toddler to be raised a Scientologist, Katie last week enrolled Suri at the Catholic Charities Yawkey Centre For Early Education And Learning in Boston, Massachusetts.

The family are living in the city while Tom, 47, films his new movie, the spy comedy thriller Wichita. Katie’s mother also flew in for her granddaughter’s first week at the pre-school, according to British newspaper the Daily Mail.

“Katie has been listening to her parents who are devout Catholics,” a source said. “She is not convinced by Scientology and has told Tom that she wants Suri to be educated as a Catholic — as she was.

“They had been having huge problems agreeing on her school. To say they were having arguments is putting it mildly — but Tom came around to the idea in the end.”

Holmes, 30, has not been seen at the Church of Scientology for more than five months.

But Cruise, who was also raised Catholic but converted to Scientology in 1990, remains an ardent follower.
