Aguilera’s contest Alisan Porter, 34, was crowned the Season 10 winner of the hit show.

Porter, a former child actress is the mother of two. At the age of 5 she became the youngest participant to ever win Star Search. When she was nine she got the lead role in the 1991 film “Curly Sue.” Porter moved to New York to pursue a career on Broadway in her teens. Most recently she has been focusing on her music career and raising her two children with her husband.

Porter got all four coaches to turn their chairs for her Voice audition. Aguilera, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Pharrell Williams all tried to get Alison on their team. She chose Aguilera as her coach and the two stayed together throughout the competition.

Laith Al Saadi from team Adam Levine, took 4th place. Hannah Huston from team Pharell, came in 3rd place.

In the end it came down to team Blake Shelton’s Adam Wakefield and Aguilera’s Porter. Porter’s incredible vocals brought the house down in the final competition with “Somewhere” from the musical “West Side Story.” The song, one of Barbara Streisand’s greatest hits is rarely attempted in singing competitions. “Somewhere” along with “Down that Road” an original song she performed on the finale both landed in the itunes top 10.

Aguilera will savor her victory off screen next season. Aguilera will not be returning as a judge on Season 11 of The Voice. Shelton and Levine will be back with newcomers Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus. The Voice returns in September.
