Jada Pinkett Smith Fires Boycott At The 2016 Oscars

The Oscars boycott by some of today’s top black entertainers Jada Pinkett Smith and Snoop Dogg that was started by Spike Lee’s call to his fellow entertainers has taken a turn after Jada herself contacted Cheryl Boone Isaacs president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Jada created a video blog about how only white actors have been nominated for the second year in a row and this type of behavior by the Oscars in unacceptable. Shortly after this video went viral Cheryl to to social media promising to make the Oscars more diverse in the years to come.

Now, Jada has come forward with the following comment: “I would like to express my gratitude to the Academy, specifically Cheryl Boone Isaacs, for such a quick response in regard to the issue at hand. I look forward to the future of the Oscars diversity.”

Will Smith, Jada’s hubby has yet to comment on this entire Oscars race issue and said that he will not participate in any boycott of the Oscars.
