John Wick Co-Director David Leitch To Take Over The Directing Reins For Deadpool 2?!

As we all know by now, the former director for Deadpool Tim Miller, will not be the director for Deadpool 2 after Tim and Ryan Reynolds butted heads on the films future.

There has been new information leaked recently that John Wick co-director David Leitch is set to land the directing job, and Ryan is on 100% on board.

Ryan Reynolds has been given a big raise and more creative control for the sequel, and it seems the actor’s talent agency, William Morris Endeavor, has been pushing the studio to hire one of its own clients.

David Leitch served as the action coordinator on X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which introduced Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.

Ryan Reynolds and the current writers have reported they want to stick more closely to the approach used in the original movie, which earned $782.6 million worldwide, from a $58 million budget. Tim on the other hand was wanting to triple the budget in a different direction… Not happening.

Showbiz Spy broke the news that John Wick 3 has already been approved even before 2 is released, so we are not sure how that will interfere with the production of Deadpool 2 that is said to start production in 2017, and hit theaters around March of 2018. Either way, we got two great films coming soon!
