South Africa Says: Leave Our Country Now To Rapper/Actor Mos Def

Mos Def who uses the name Yasiin Bey has been told by South African officials that he and his family have exactly 14days to kick rocks.

Problem though is that Mos Def renounced his US citizenship over what we are told by close friends is a “tax issue he does not want to get into”.

Mos Def now has the great task of figuring out where in the hell he is going to call home, as after all this now he is having problems getting back into the states with his passports. Official documents had already been filed to renounce his citizenship from the US.

Not only has the 42 year old had a fairly decent rapping career, he has also appeared on Broadway in the Pulitzer Prize-winning “Topdog/Underdog” and in several films… including ‘Monster’s Ball,’ ‘Brown Sugar’ and two films with the now late and missed Alan Rickman in ‘Something the Lord Made’ and ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.’

ShowbizSpy got the lowdown from a close friend of Mos Def saying: “He is stuck like chuck man, he has tried to go back to the states but they have declined. He is now looking at some south american countries to go and get everything sorted out.” Be careful out there man and don’t drink the water. ;)

Here are some clips of the man doing his thing… notice how in clip 1 he mentions the flat tax… lol:
