Goldberg Sends Gifts To Kennedy Family

Kindhearted comedienne WHOOPI GOLDBERG helped to raise the spirits of cancer-stricken Senator EDWARD KENNEDY by sending him a basket of edible treats during his hospital stay.

The 76-year-old last surviving brother of the late John F. Kennedy was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour earlier this week (20May08) after he suffered a seizure at the weekend.

And Goldberg was quick to offer her condolences. She says, "I sent him some food, so he can nosh and the people around him can nosh. I said, 'This is a hell of a way to get of the campaign trail.' Apparently it made him laugh."
