Solange Knowles Breaks Her Foot

BEYONCE KNOWLES' singer sister SOLANGE was hospitalised at the weekend after breaking her foot at the beginning of her U.S. tour.

The star was in Kansas City, Missouri on Sunday (01Jun08) to perform tracks from her new album Sol-Angel when the accident occurred.

A representative for Knowles, 21, said in a statement: "As Solange entered the stage in Kansas City, a large piece of metal fell from the doorway and onto her foot, breaking it.

"Ms Knowles continued to head out to the stage and performed her full set while in extreme pain. Immediately following her performance, she was rushed to the hospital where she learned her foot was indeed broken."

Knowles will complete the remainder of her tour with her foot in a cast. She will perform some of her set seated, due to the injury.
