Kate Beckinsale Dismisses Victoria Beckham's Miserable Reputation

Actress KATE BECKINSALE has taken aim at those who call pal VICTORIA BECKHAM grumpy, insisting the former singer is actually "a hoot".

The Pearl Harbor star, who met Beckham through mutual friend Eva Longoria Parker, claims the public's perception of the former Spice Girl as a non-smiling curmudgeon couldn't be further from the truth.

She explains, "Just recently I've been seeing a lot of Victoria (Beckham). Victoria is hilarious. That's the thing I like about her most. She's a hoot.

"She is also a very normal girl. We have a good laugh and it's great when suddenly people get your jokes and reference points."
