Led Zeppelin Reform For Foo Fighters

By WENN, June 8 2008

Legendary LED ZEPPELIN rockers JIMMY PAGE and JOHN PAUL JONES reunited on stage to perform with the FOO FIGHTERS for a spectacular show in London on Saturday (07Jun08) night.

The rock duo came together for the first time since the Led Zeppelin reunion gig in December (07) to play alongside the Everlong hitmakers at their much-hyped Wembley Stadium gig.

While Robert Plant was unable to attend due to promotional commitments in the U.S., Page and Jones joined forces with the Foo Fighters to play two classic songs to delighted fans.

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl replaced the late John Bonham on drums for a new version of Rock 'n' Roll, while drummer Taylor Hawkins took on the vocals.

Grohl then stepped into Plant's role to sing a rousing rendition of Ramble On.

The singer - a long time Led Zeppelin fan - was overcome by emotion at the end of the performance and burst into tears after embracing his boyhood heroes Page and Jones.

Grohl finished by telling the crowd, "This is gonna be the show that we're gonna be talking about for the next 20 years. Welcome to the greatest f**king day of my life!"
