Rockers RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE are planning to disrupt the forthcoming U.S. elections - by staging a gig for protestors outside the upcoming presidential conventions.

The band are not shy about voicing their political views and recently protested about America's treatment of detainees at Guantanamo Bay by performing wearing orange jumpsuits and black bags over their heads.

And now the Know Your Enemy hitmakers plan to demonstrate against the U.S. government by joining protestors outside the planned party conventions in August (08) and September (08) ahead of the election in November (08).

Guitarist Tom Morello tells Blabbermouth.net, "There is the possibility that we will be playing at the demonstrations surrounding the Presidential conventions. The Democrats are in Denver, the Republicans are in Minneapolis. But we're still looking into that."

The move would delight fans of the rockers, as they currently only have one U.S. concert scheduled for 2008 - an appearance at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago, Illinois' Grant Park on 2 August (08).
