Donda West Surgeon Arrested For Suspected DUI

The surgeon who operated on KANYE WEST's mother a day before she died has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

Dr. Jan Adams was arrested by police in California early on Thursday morning (26Jun08).

According to California Highway Patrol reports, he was driving his grey Jaguar car the wrong way up a freeway off ramp. He failed a sobriety test and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license, according to TMZ.com.

The website also reports that Adams' medical license expired at midnight on Wednesday (25Jun08), rendering him not "allowed to practice medicine in California".

Adams was cleared of wrongdoing in the death of Donda West last year (07).
