Franz Ferdinand Are Last-minute Glastonbury Additions

FRANZ FERDINAND made a surprise last-minute appearance at the Glastonbury Festival in England on Friday night (27Jun08) after announcing the show to fans on Thursday (26Jun08).

In a brief post on their website, the Scottish rockers revealed they'd stop off at Glastonbury in between gigs in Yeovil, England and Cardiff, Wales.

The post read, "Friday night. Glastonbury. Park Stage. 10pm."

The `secret' show market the Scottish band's first performance at Glastonbury since 2004.

Band member Bob Hardy said, "We're playing because we were in area and we had a day off. They phoned us up and said they had a spare slot."
