Drew Barrymore Denies Snubbing U.S. Magazine Over Split Scoop

LATEST: Actress DREW BARRYMORE has denied claims she withheld news of her split from boyfriend JUSTIN LONG from a U.S. magazine because it published unflattering pictures of her.

Barrymore confirmed the end of her year-long romance with Long on Tuesday (08Jul08) to magazine Star - after rumours she refused to break the news through rival People.

A source tells the New York Daily News Barrymore is still fuming over a recent issue of People because she "was upset they used a photo of her in a bikini for their cover".

But a spokesperson for the star denies Barrymore holds any resentment toward the publication, adding: "The People story (with Drew in a bikini) was completely positive, just not needed on our end at that time."
