Knievel Estate Sued Over 1981 Ruling

The estate of the late EVEL KNIEVEL is facing a $64 million (GBP32 million) lawsuit in relation to judgement made in 1981.

Sheldon Saltman was awarded a $13 million (GBP6.5 million) settlement 27 years ago after Knievel hit him with a baseball bat.

Saltman claims he still hasn't been handed the cash payout and filed legal papers against the late stuntman's estate earlier this month (Jul08).

In the new suit, filed in Florida's Pinellas County Court, Saltman is seeking a whopping $64 million in compensation - a figure he claims has been adjusted to take into account inflation over the years since the original ruling was made.

Representatives for Knievel's estate have yet to respond, reports TMZ.com.
