Beckinsale Scared About L.A. Move

British actress KATE BECKINSALE was "frightened" about moving to America - because she was convinced she would be forced to undergo a full body makeover.

The Underworld star transferred to America with her ex-husband Michael Sheen six years ago - and was worried that her English looks would set her apart from other actresses.

She tells British newspaper the Daily Express, "I was very frightened of L.A. at first.

"I thought the first thing that would happen is they are going to file my teeth down, inflate my bosom and just be mean to me - and that's sort of what has happened."

And the star confesses that although she is now settled with director husband Len Wiseman and her daughter Lily, nine, she didn't forsee the domestic bliss she now enjoys.

She adds, "I would never have envisaged myself marrying an American, living in America and sending my child to an American school."
