Cole's Truck Trick Is Greatest Career Move

By WENN, July 16 2008

Designer KENNETH COLE's cunning plan to sell shoes from the back of a truck has earned him the top spot in a Greatest Career Moves magazine poll.

Cole told New York city officials he was shooting a movie and they gave him permission to park his 'production vehicle' outside a major trade show, which the designer could not afford to attend.

The clever move led to Cole selling a truck-load of shoes and put him on the map as a top designer.

Cole's truck trick has given him the edge over Justin Timberlake's decision to leave boy band 'N Sync and go solo, and Frank Sinatra's career-saving decision to become a movie star in the new Best Life magazine poll.
