Grohl Illness Prompts Foo Fighters To Reschedule Shows

By WENN, July 17 2008

Rocker DAVE GROHL faces a race to get healthy after scrapping two FOO FIGHTERS shows due to "serious throat issues."

The group postponed their two-night stand at Morrison, Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Monday and Tuesday (14-15Jul08) after the singer fell ill.

In a statement to fans, Grohl wrote, "As much as it kills us to postpone shows, I'm in no shape to deliver the kind of balls-out performances that you guys deserve."

The Red Rocks concerts have now been rescheduled to September (08) and Grohl is now hoping to be back on stage on Thursday night (17Jul08) when the Foo Fighters perform in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Grohl and his band took part in last weekend's (12Jul08) VH1 Rock Honors tribute to The Who in Los Angeles.
