Silverman's Kimmel Spoof Song Nominated For An Emmy
Comedienne SARAH SILVERMAN has been given some good news in the wake of her split from U.S. TV star JIMMY KIMMEL - the song she recorded to poke fun at her ex has been nominated for an Emmy.
A video accompanying Silverman's I'm F**king Matt Damon spoof aired on the late night host's fifth anniversary show earlier this year (08) and immediately became an Internet sensation.
And now the song is up for an Outstanding Original Music + Lyrics Emmy.
In the song, Silverman boasted she no longer loved Kimmel after falling for movie star Damon, who appeared in the video.
Kimmel bounced back in a later episode of his show with an all-star video accompanying his spoof I'm F**king Ben Affleck.
The song will be up against The Most Beautiful Girl (In the Room) and Inner City Pressure, from cult comedy show Flight of the Conchords; and Sad Fitty Cent, from FOX's MADtv, among others. The Emmys will be handed out on 21 September (08).
