U.K. Rockers Joe Lean Scrap Album

By WENN, July 23 2008

British rockers JOE LEAN AND THE JING JANG JONG have scrapped plans to release their debut album - because it was recorded so long ago.

The band were set to release the LP on 4 August (08), but have decided to shelve the recording because it no longer reflects the direction of their music.

And despite the band already sending copies of the LP out to be reviewed, the album was dropped on Tuesday (22Jul08) just as it was due to go into production.

The group has come to a decision to record new material for an album slated for release in 2009.

Their manager Raye Cosbert tells NME.com, "They've grown as musicians, the album was recorded too early in their career. The band have all agreed that's it's the best thing to do (re-record the album)."
