Franco Wears Woody's Stoner Trousers

SPIDER-MAN star JAMES FRANCO ridiculed the Guatemalan pants his stoner character wears throughout new film PINEAPPLE EXPRESS until he learned the costume was inspired by WOODY HARRELSON.

Franco was only allowed to wear one outfit for the duration of the new comedy and thought costume experts were joking when they dressed him in hippie attire.

He recalls, "They wanted me to wear these Guatemalan pants. I was like, 'Who wears these awful things?'

"(The producers) are good friends with Woody Harrelson and said,'`Woody wears these all the time.'

"That's how the costume came about."
