The Enemy Horrify Fans After Frontman's Stage Injury

By WENN, August 7 2008

Rockers THE ENEMY shocked fans at a recent concert after frontman TOM CLARKE sliced off the end of his finger - and proceeded to splatter blood across the stage.

The British band was performing at the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago, Illinois last weekend (02-03Aug08), when Clarke injured his digit on his guitar.

As it was the group's first ever U.S. gig, the singer battled on through the set - but a doctor then ordered the trio to cancel a follow-up appearance at the Osheaga Festival in Montreal, Canada on Tuesday (05Aug08).

Clarke tells NME.com, "I managed to slash the end off my finger playing guitar - there was f**king blood everywhere.

"The doctor looked at it after the set and said I'd have to miss a couple of gigs. I said I'd miss one but I'm not missing L.A."

The band are scheduled to appear at the Troubadour in Los Angeles on Thursday (07Aug08).
