R.E.M. Suffer From Bad Ticket Sales

By WENN, August 9 2008

Rockers R.E.M. have been forced to relocate one of the shows on their current U.K. tour because of poor ticket sales.

The Losing My Religion hitmakers were due to play at the 74,000-capacity Millennium Stadium in Cardiff later this month (Aug08), but promoters at Live Nation, the company that organised the tour, have now moved the concert to the Cardiff International Arena - which has room for just 7,500 revellers.

A spokesperson for the Millennium Stadium says, "Tickets are not selling well for the current R.E.M. tour right across Europe."
