Actor CHACE CRAWFORD denies his character in hit series GOSSIP GIRL encourages teenagers to take drugs.

Crawford plays promiscuous rich kid Nate Archibald in the hit U.S. TV series.

But he denies his drug-taking character encourages the show's young audience to follow suit.

He says, "They're not stupid and it's not like we're making an instruction manual telling them how to drink and do drugs, or have sex. We're just laying out how it is."
