Coulier Speaks Out Over Morissette Song

August 14 2008

FULL HOUSE star DAVID COULIER insists he is now good friends with ex-girlfriend ALANIS MORISSETTE - even though she wrote one of her most famous songs about their split.

The Canadian singer penned her angst-ridden 1996 song You Oughta Know about the actor, who she dated in 1994.

And the tune went on to become a massive hit, reaching number one in the U.S. Billboard chart and wining Morissette two Grammy awards.

Addressing the track for the first time, Coulier admits he soon figured about that the song was written about him.

He says, "(When I first heard the song) I said, 'Wow, this girl is angry,'And then I said, 'Oh man, I think it's Alanis.' I listened to the song over and over again, and I said, 'I think I have really hurt this person.'"

But the comedian is adamant the pair has since put their differences behind them.

He adds, "We saw each other and hung out for an entire day. And it was beautiful. It was one of those things where it was kind of like, 'We're good.'"
