Paltrow Sparks Outrage With Fur Ad
GWYNETH PALTROW has angered animal rights campaigners by endorsing a new collection of luxury goods using fur.
The actress appears in Italian designer Tod's advertising campaign draped in fox fur and wearing fur-lined boots.
The 35-year-old and husband Coldplay singer Chris Martin have previously won praise for their green credentials.
But Paltrow has angered animal rights campaigners with her latest project.
Mark Glover, director of Respect for Animals, says, "Gwyneth Paltrow should be ashamed. I can only assume that Paltrow either is ignorant of the facts or lacks human decency and compassion."
And a spokesman for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) claim calls to the star had been rebuffed.
The spokesman adds, "We've written to her many times, and sent her videos showing how animals suffer for fur, but have never received a response.
"Apparently her beauty really is only skin deep. Gwyneth Paltrow won't be the apple of her daughter's eye if she continues to flaunt fur. It's a terrible example to set for a young child."
A spokesman for Paltrow and Martin was unavailable for comment.

She Is A Living Contradiction
Food, causes, you name it.....she spouts one thing and then does another. When she spouts....look out, but then it is ok if she changes her mind. I think she is just a junk food junkie and what's in it for me type of gal, but she is trying to mimic her husbands oddities, but can't keep em straight. WAY TO GO PALTROW! I knew you had good taste! Unlike all the slime in Hollywood I respect you lady! I love fur and LORD knows it keeps ya warm. Anyone every tell me what I should or can not wear is a fool. Moreso if they dare spit or throw something for me wearing it. I love fur it is the only thing that keeps me warm. I have an illness,and it's a protective measure but I'd not give up on it for anyone. Of course those in CA. say no fun they live in the sun. They need to grow up,and out law their attitudes, drugs, and drinking first. Like Pamela with Hep C says she got it from TOMMY ( I DOUBT THAT SHE's SLEAZY ) Could have been any man with her bad taste or even her OWN NEEDLE! Grow up! Don't force your views on everyone and get a fricken life!
