TV Bosses Keep 90210 Secret

August 19 2008

TV chiefs are desperately trying to keep the plot of the new BEVERLY HILLS, 90210 spin-off show under wraps.

Bosses at the CW Television Network have refused to release any footage of the new programme ahead of its debut on 2 September (08).

And critics have been banned from reviewing the show, with no advance screenings planned before it airs on TV.

A statement from CW reads, "The CW and our studio partner CBS Paramount Network Television have made the strategic marketing decision not to screen ‘90210’ for any media in advance of its premiere.

"We're not hiding anything... simply keeping a lid on 90210 until 9.02, riding the curiosity and anticipation into premiere night, and letting all our constituents see it at the same time."

The series has been hit by controversy in recent weeks with Tori Spelling quitting the project in an alleged row over her salary.

Other original stars, including Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth, will both be reprising their roles for the new-look show.
