Bros Star Regrets Excessive Drug Use

August 24 2008

Former BROS star LUKE GOSS is angry he lost months of his life to drugs while at the height of his 1980s boy band fame.

The drummer insists the group was not as clean-cut as their pin-up images suggested, and recalls being inundated with offers of sex and drugs.

He says, "You don't get in the music business just for the music. It's music, girls and maybe a bit of drinking. I was doing a lot of drugs when I was with Bros. Plates of cocaine would go round at parties.

"I was growing up and made a lot of mistakes, but the drug thing wasn't for me in the end. When I left the band I was smoking a lot of weed, but that didn't last long. I lost about six months of my life from being in a haze and thought this is bulls**t.

But the star, now acting in Hellboy II: The Golden Army, couldn't handle the debauchery and quickly ditched his partying lifestyle.

He adds: "It got old really quickly for me. I'm just not built that way. I like being with people I really love and care about."
