Brolin Was Terrified Of Tackling Bush

August 25 2008

JOSH BROLIN turned down the role of GEORGE W. BUSH when it was first offered to him, and even gave director OLIVER STONE a list of actors who could play the U.S. president better than he could.

The actor was terrified of tackling the leader in the controversial biopic - entitled W - fearing he'd struggle to mimic the president for the length of a feature film.

He tells New York magazine, "At first I said no to Oliver. I gave him names of other actors. I was afraid to do it.

"Some of these comedians out there, they do a carbon copy W. that is hilarious for fifteen seconds. Then you ask, 'What's the next joke?"
