Kasabian Star Pizzorno Bomb Terror

August 26 2008

KASABIAN rocker SERGE PIZZORNO is lucky to be alive after he discovered an unexploded grenade buried under his house.

The guitarist was forced to evacuate his new home, along with all his neighbours, after builders working on the property uncovered a dangerous wartime bomb.

The unexploded grenade was taken away by bomb disposal teams, who worked quickly to remove the timebomb before it exploded.

And the star is thankful the grenade was discovered as he is 27 - the infamous age several rockstars have met their demise.

He says, "I'm 27 and there's a tradition of musicians meeting their end at my age. It's all sorted now and we should be moving in there in a few weeks.

"All it could have taken was the vibrations from a kickabout in the garden or some loud music and we would have been blown to pieces in a pile of rubble and smoke."
