Tom Cruise Looking For Comedic Roles

September 1 2008

TOM CRUISE is keen to trade in his screen legacy as an action hero for more comedic roles after making a cameo appearance in new war comedy TROPIC THUNDER.

The Hollywood icon is unrecognisable as a chubby, balding movie executive in the new Ben Stiller film - featuring Stiller alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black.

And Cruise admits the role was an unexpected inspiration to make movie audiences laugh.

He says, "Well, I'm always looking for something new, and Ben's (Stiller) movie is hilarious. He and I are old friends, and he is a really good director, so originally I said I'd do it just for friendship. But it turned out great.

"I actually love comedy, and I did it in Risky Business, so I'll do more if it presents itself."

Tom Cruise

The reason his star has fallen is because he is trying to promote a cult. I don't want to give him a penny. I honestly love most of his movies. He is very inspiring. That is why I won't give him my money anymore. He gives millions to Scientology. They are one of the most underhanded, aggressive and Yes I will say wacko cults there are. Tom if you want to be a priest for the Cult of Scientology, more power to you. If you want to be a movie star again that does not have the stigma of Xenu the alien spaceman then you have a decision to make.

Yes, more comedy!

Yes, he needs to do more comedy! Cruise makes great movies! He should go a little outside the box and get racy/artsy to reclaim some artistic credibility. Maybe a "Risky Business II, the post-Princeton Years" movie out of this dangerous, romance written by a Harvard Grad and real Romanian strippers "Caribbean Dreams: TRUE STORY of an Ivy League Couple who Bought a STRIP CLUB in the Caribbean" www.caribbeanstripclub.com. Fun stuff would help his get his positive image back and have people not take his personal life so seriously.
