EMMA Stone insists she hasn’t gone out of her way to spoil their favorite damsel in distress.

The Easy A star has told how she is aware of criticism from some Spider-Man fans about her take on Gwen Stacy in the forthcoming The Amazing Spider-Man movie.

“I think there is still a vulnerability there,” assures Emma.

“I guess with this version, perhaps because of my limited range, she’s a little sassy and sarcastic. Maybe she is a little different than the Gwen in the comics but hopefully that will be alright with everybody.

“I can’t play a character without making it my own a little bit so hopefully it is alright that I am playing her.”

SINGER Jessie J loves her status as a role model.

The Do It Like a Dude hitmaker says she wants to set a good example to her young fans and prove you can be successful without giving into peer pressure.

“You can be who you want to be without taking the path of cigarettes, alcohol and drugs. I base my confidence on purity,” she said. “It’s important for me to embrace being a role model, and that young people have someone to look up to who does that.

“You need to have self-belief, because if you don’t believe in yourself then nobody else will believe in you.

“When a door closes in your face, it’s not the end. It means there’s a bigger, more beautiful door around the corner. You just have to go and find it.

“I’m addicted to performing, I’m someone who craves the stage. For those who have seen me live, that’s where I’m most comfortable.”

KATY Perry is back on the market.

The singer — who separated from husband Russell Brand in December after 14 months of marriage — has split from beau, Florence and The Machine rocker Rob Ackroyd.

The pair decided to part ways because Perry felt their respective working commitments would make seeing one another regularly too hard.

“The main thing which led to her split with Russell was spending the majority of her marriage to him on tour and she said dating Rob felt like being with ­Russell all over again,” a source said.

“It’s a shame as they both liked each other but Katy wants to be able to have a relationship with someone she isn’t constantly having to work out what time zone they’re in.

“Rob was gutted but Katy said she didn’t want to get in too deep and then break his heart so it was best to cut things off before they got serious.

“Rob was the first guy Katy had been with since splitting from Russell.

“She was still extremely fragile but had told pals their two weekends at Coachella together made her feel ‘sexy and alive’ again.

“Even when Rob left to continue touring ­America with Florence they would speak on the phone up to three times a day and she’d be constantly texting him.”

According to reports, the star — who recently signed up to become an X Factor judge — has taken up golf.

Spears’ fiance Jason Trawick suggested she play the sport to help her relax.

“It’s heads-up when she’s around,” a source said.

“I just feel like kids are so much more important than any movie. They are so much more important than that. I’m not worried.”

The singer, 18, is still afraid of the dark so he “sometimes” feels the need to keep his room illuminated in case he gets scared during the night.

“My hands sweat a lot, so do his. And his feet. They don’t smell. And he was afraid of the dark for most of his life,” said Justin’s father Jeremy Bieber.

Despite being afraid of the dark, the Boyfriend hitmaker knows God is looking after him and he feels “blessed” to be in such a privileged position within his life, so much so he thanks the Lord on a regular basis.

“God means a lot to me. I pray when I go to sleep. I pray during the day, when I have a problem or when I just want to thank him for all he’s done for me. Without God I wouldn’t be in this position,” he said.

“He’s blessed with the talent and the opportunity and everything. I feel like there’s also a reason I’m here.”

“I think Kim will be more protective of certain parts of her life now because of what she has been through,” says Khloe referring to Kim’s disastrous and short-lived marriage to basketball star Kris Humphries.

“Kim has learned a lot from what she went through and I don’t think she will want to show as much on camera as she used to. But if there is a family dinner or an event then, yeah, he’ll be there. Why wouldn’t he?”

“My husband is a big Tron fan, and I thought it would earn me Brownie points,” says Mandy.

“I found out they were doing the series and I got the word about auditioning and I took it upon myself to do that.

“Then, when I was lucky enough to get cast, I was able to go home and share the good news, and he was very excited. They gave us a bunch of Tron toys and action figures and I was able to bring those home to him and he has them in his office.

“We have a TRON video game at home, too. That is how much of a Tron fan he is.”

LADY GaGa says her trip to Springfield was far more nerve-wracking than performing in front of packed stadiums on her sell-out world tour.

The Pokerface singer has just appeared as a cartoon version of herself in a special episode of The Simpsons and it’s an experience she will never forget.

“I was more nervous than I have ever been because I am such a fan of the show and everyone on it is so talented,” says GaGa of voicing her character.

“At times they made fun of me and I made fun of them but that’s how I am professionally anyway so that was fine.”

“It’s really super cute. It’s not like crazy. It is never negative, it is always constructive.

“It’s like ‘Eva, I don’t know about that lipstick but that dress was gorgeous!’ And then it will say ‘Hmm, your shoes? But your hair was lovely!’”
