Because Pornhub cares, that’s why.   And I mean that literally.  The enhanced audio campaign is being launched by ‘Pornhub Cares’.  Which is the firm’s philanthropic division responsible for ‘The Christy Mack Collection,’ which supports the fight against domestic violence.  They also head up ‘Save The Boobs’ a fundraising campaign for breast cancer, and even the $25,000 ‘Pornhub Cares Scholarship’.

The collection contains many different videos across a variety of preferences including, of course, the ‘Kim Kardashian Sex Tape‘.  Pornhub vice president, Corey Price had this to say, “At Pornhub, it’s our goal to service all of our users’ needs, which begins with making content accessible to every individual”.  He added, “By integrating an audio-focused series, we can now ensure that we supply content specifically for those who are visually impaired”.

How this works is professional voice actors and Pornhub Aria, the firm’s social media personality, are used to narrate the scene.  But instead of just listening to the scene users will be immersed in the plot and setting as well.  The female narrator says things like, ‘Cut to a side shot inside the cab and a girl gets in – black hair, lots of makeup, and squeezing a nice, curvy figure into a tight blue dress’.  She says in another clip, ‘A white woman in a cheap-looking red power suit sits next to a tall, lanky, white, middle-aged man with brown hair, a white shirt, grey suit, and a red striped tie’.  These are found in their ‘Described Video’ area, exclusively for the sight impaired.

Pornhub revealed excerpts of the ‘Video Described’ service in a heavily edited almost-SFW video.  Also on youtube, Pornhub explains “Our Described Video campaign seeks to help institute a larger dialogue within Pornhub’s community with regards to how we can not only better serve the visually impaired, but to also understand how to make the site accessible to all”.
