Katie Holmes Ditches 'Kate' for Broadway

Katie Holmes will ditch her "Kate" moniker when she takes to the Broadway stage in All My Sons this fall.
Though husband Tom Cruise finds "Kate" more sophisticated, the former Dawson's Creek actress will be billed as "Katie," the name most of her fans and family call her.
A Broadway insider tells America's OK! magazine, "A lot of discussion went on around her name and billing.
"Eventually it was Katie herself who insisted that she wanted to remain 'Katie Holmes' on Broadway."
Holmes has so far impressed the NYC theater community by proving to be humble. OK! reports that Holmes, 29, didn't insist on her name appearing first on the show’s poster. "Her name appears last," said the publication.
And Katie hasn't made any diva demands, either. Insiders say her room at the theater will have "a sink, mirror and a shared bathroom."
