Madonna Tells Guy Ritchie She Wants a Divorce

Madonna has reportedly told husband Guy Ritchie she wants a divorce.
The pop superstar, who turns 50 this year, is said to have confessed she had fallen out of love with the 'Snatch' director and Guy agreed their seven-year marriage was over.
A source reveals, "They were both very calm. They both knew the relationship was over. Madonna told Guy, 'I'm sorry, I want a divorce.' And he agreed. It was quite painless but very sad."
The couple, who married in December 2000, have both spoken to divorce lawyers -- with Madonna rumored to have hired the lawyer who represented Paul McCartney in his divorce from Heather Mills, Fiona Shackleton; and Guy has taken legal advice from top London law firm Forsters.
The couple are determined the break-up will be amicable and have agreed the welfare of their children -- Lourdes, 11, Rocco, seven and two-year-old adopted son David -- is their top priority.
Meanwhile, Guy, 39, has told the the Material Girl hitmaker he is quitting Kabbalah.
Although Madonna remains a devout follower of the mystical Jewish religion, Guy has lost his faith, forcing the couple even further apart.
A source tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "Guy has turned his back on Kabbalah once and for all. He has gone hot and cold on the religion in the past but now he's given it up all together."
