Lily Allen to Quit Music if Second Album Flops

Lily Allen says she will give up her career as a pop star if her eagerly-anticipated second album is a flop.

The record, tentatively titled 'Stuck on the Naughty Step', is the follow up to 2006's 'Alright, Still' -- which spawned the UK number one single 'Smile'. But Lily, 23, fears she "got away with something" because of the huge success of her first album.

She says, "I left school at 15. I'm not a genius songwriter. I don't think I'm really good at anything. I'm really scared about what people are going to say.

"I don't know why. Some people will like it and some won't. If people hate it, then I'll just try something else."

Allen -- the daughter of British comedian Keith Allen -- also revealed that if she does quit singing she would like a behind the scenes role in the music industry.

She added to Rolling Stone magazine, "I'd really like to do A+R at a record company."

Lily recently reviewed possible tracks to be included on her new album on her MySpace internet page, including 'I Don't Know' and 'Guess Who Batman'.

It was rumored earlier this week that Lily was set to record a duet with Lindsay Lohan. The album is due for release next year.
