Madonna Tells Guy Ritchie to "Stay in London"

Despite denials from the Madonna camp she is set to divorce husband Guy Ritchie, it seems a split is even more likely after she turned down his begging offer to move to New York.
The Snatch director was prepared to give up the life he loves in England for a chance at a reconciliation.
But the Material Girl hitmaker left him stunned by telling him the offer is no longer on the table -- and he is better off in England. She reportedly said, "You're not coming. I still want a divorce. Stay in London."
The couple's marriage is said to have hit the rocks over the singer's plans to relocate their family to the Big Apple.
Guy, 39, has always been against the idea, preferring the familiar surroundings of the couple's London home or 1,200-acre Wiltshire estate.
A source tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "Guy did a lot of soul-searching after Madonna asked him for a divorce and thought he may be able to salvage the situation by agreeing to leave London full-time for the Big Apple.
"He knew it was a long shot but he will do anything to keep the family together. Yet no sooner had he told her than she said it wasn't an option any more.
"It's all very sad but Guy is now resigned to them living apart."
Madonna, 49, has already bought an apartment in New York in her maiden name. It is being extended to accommodate children Lourdes, 11, Rocco, seven, and adopted David, two.
The source added, "She will still rotate between her homes across the world, but New York will be her major base -- especially as she wants the kids to be educated there.
"Unfortunately Guy isn't a part of her plans. This really is the end."
