Ronnie Wood Refuses to go to Rehab

Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie Wood has ignored his family's pleas to check into rehab.

The 61-year-old guitarist walked out on his wife Jo after 23 years and fled to Ireland with cocktail waitress Ekaterina Ivanova, 19.

But he is refusing to seek help for his addiction to alcohol.

A source tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "It's so sad. He is in a really bad place at the moment.

"All the kids have rallied around Jo and are furious with their dad.

"He won't answer calls -- he doesn't want to hear them tell him to stop drinking."

Ronnie's son Tyrone is due to fly to Ireland this week to try and persuade him to see sense.

But the star has told friends, "I'm staying here."

The source added, "It was decided the only way to knock some sense into Ronnie is go out there and physically shake it into him."

A spokeswoman for Ronnie declined to comment.
