Morgan Freeman Took Role in Batman Film Because he Loves Comics

Hollywood legend Morgan Freeman says he signed up to star in the new Batman movie because he's a lifelong comic book fan.
The Oscar-winning star, who plays mad inventor Lucius Fox in The Dark Night, says he was eager to take on the role as he grew up reading comics.
He reveals, "I grew up in the Thirties and Forties and learned to read from comic books.
"After a while I figured the pictures weren't good enough and I had to read the words although it was pretty easy to read 'POW' 'WOW'. That's why I loved Batman."
But he has no wish to try on the Batsuit - because the rubber uniform was agony for Christian Bale.
"When he was in that suit, sweat would just drip off of him. He would stand and there was like a puddle," Morgan grins.
The film, which also stars Heath Ledger, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Maggie Gyllenhaal, is released in the US on July 18.

Mad Inventor
Where did you get the idea that Morgan's character Lucius Fox was mad? He seemed quite normal to me.
