Heather Mills Spotted House-Hunting in California

Heather Mills is following through on her promise to move to Los Angeles -- the former glamour model has been spotted house-hunting in California.

Mills won a $50 million (GBP25 million) divorce settlement from former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney and was recently rumored to have purchased a luxurious apartment in New York.

The 40-year-old also announced her ambition to own a home in L.A. despite previously stating a permanent move to America would be impossible.

Mills claims she has to stay in Britain to allow McCartney access to their four-year-old daughter Beatrice.

A source tells New York Post gossip column PageSix that Mills is serious about buying property in L.A.: "She's with Prudential Realty and is giving them a really hard time, because she will only pay $1 million and refuses to budge.

"They've been showing her places for $1.1 million or $1.2 and she'll get mad, telling them, 'I said $1 million and not over.'

A spokeswoman for Mills said she had "no idea" her client had been house-hunting.
