Chris Martin: 'Being Away From Gwyneth is Good For Our Marriage'

Chris Martin says spending time away from his wife Gwyneth Paltrow works wonders for their relationship.

The Coldplay frontman says that when he comes back from being on tour he feels even closer to the 'Shallow Hal' actress and their two children, Apple and Moses.

He explains, "We have so many different jobs in our family that sometimes we are together and sometimes we are not.

"It is just the way it all works out. But I think when you have a partner who is a musician or a dad who is a musician, it's a good thing not to see them for a few days.

"Then when you see each other it makes it really special. You treasure the time together."

Martin, 31, and Paltrow, 35, married in December 2003.
