Maggie Gyllenhaal Loved Being The Only Girl on Batman set

Maggie Gyllenhaal says she loved being the only female actress on-set of the new Batman movie.

The actress -- who stars alongside the likes of Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine in The Dark Knight (the sequel to Batman Begins) -- says it was "great" being surrounded by an all-male cast.

She explains, "There's something really great about being the only girl in an all-male cast.

"I was looking at the poster for The Dark Knight and it was like 'Man, man, man, man, man, man and me!'

"There's something cool about that. I loved it."

Maggie, 30, recently revealed that she struggles with being in the spotlight.

She said, "The amount of scrutiny can be unbearable. It's sometimes really hurtful.

"I've decided, in order to protect myself that I am not going to look at any pictures or to pay any attention to anything anyone says about me.

"I do want the power that comes with celebrity, because I have good intentions. I feel as if I could do something good with that power."
