Justin Long Pulls Out of Drew Barrymore's Movie

Drew Barrymore's ex Justin Long has dropped out of the movie project which marks the actress' feature directorial debut, according to a report.

Justin, who is said to be "distraught" at being dumped by the Charlie's Angel star, has decided to pull out of roller derby comedy "Whip It!", because, "He couldn't stand working with her and not being with her. He's too upset," a source tells E! News.

"She dumped him. She was hot and cold. One minute she was in love with him and the next she wanted to break up with him.

"He is so distraught over the split that he dropped out of the movie."

Chris Miller, a rep for Barrymore's production company with partner Nancy Juvonen, would not confirm whether Long had been formally attached to the project, saying, "It's bordering on his personal life. We never comment on cast."

Whip It!, based on Shauna Cross' novel Derby Girl, which is about the life of a female roller derby player, begins shooting Monday in Michigan. Starring alongside Barrymore are Ellen Page, Juliette Lewis, Marcia Gay Harden, Zoe Bell and Kristen Wiig.

Barrymore, 33, and Long, 30, confirmed their split on July 7.
