Miley Cyrus Says 'Sorry' to Demi Lovato & Selena Gomez

July 26 2008

Miley Cyrus has apologized to fellow Disney stars Demi Lovato & Selena Gomez for taking aim at them in an online video.

The Hannah Montana star, 15, earlier this week posted footage of herself and her best pal joking around as they mocked an earlier video made by Gomez and Lovato, in which they talk about their love of make-up and cartoon characters Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

In her own take on the chat, Cyrus boasted about a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles T-shirt she's bought, saying: "I got a really cool shirt today. Like, really emo, like emo-mazing."

Cyrus' video was then interspersed with Gomez and Lovato's footage and posted on video-sharing website YouTube.com to show a frame-by-frame comparison of the two.

The attack sent online gossips into a spin, with many speculating that Cyrus' actions were prompted by reports her ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas is dating Gomez.

But Miley insists she was just "being funny."

She says, "If we offended them on you YouTube, then I'm sorry. You know, we were like just having fun, you know what I mean?

"They have like a YouTube account. We were just supporting their channel.

"But we were also being silly, because they were being funny, and that's our thing -- to be funny.

"So they were being funny on their show.

"You know, Elvis says imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. So we were like imitating them, you know, like being funny."

Jonas and Gomez, who appears in The Jonas Brothers' new Burnin' Up video, have denied claims they are dating.
