Teri Hatcher Thinks She's Fat

Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher thinks she's fat.

The actress -- who plays Susan Mayer in the hit ABC show -- says she is not under any illusion she needs to lose pounds, she just needs to work out as if she does in order to make herself feel better about her body.

She explains, "I'm like a skinny fat person. I'm thin but I always need to be working out to feel toned.

"I hate that feeling when you first work out and you can't even walk upstairs for days afterwards because it hurts so much. That's why I try and keep myself fit."

The fifth season of Desperate Housewives will begin airing on September 28, 2008.
