Guy Ritchie: 'London is Ugly'

Madonna's moviemaking husband Guy Ritchie has launched a scathing attack on London - branding the British capital "ugly."

The Snatch director -- whose films are often set in London -- is disappointed with the way development has "ruined" the city.

He says, "The vast slew of modern buildings are so prosaic, so dull, so cheap.

"They are just blots on the landscape, skid marks lacerating our topography and geography. Paris and Rome are like supermodels in comparison."

Guy, 39, shares a $20m mansion in Marylebone with his superstar wife and their three children.

Guy recently said he was surprised at the love he felt for his adopted son David Banda, 2.

In a magazine interview, he revealed, "Fatherhood is unbelievable. It has taken over my life. But something else surprised me – how much you can love an adopted child, the same as you can love a biological child. I didn’t anticipate that."
