Stella McCartney Orders Fur Advert Dropped

Paul McCartney's fashion designer daughter Stella has reportedly ordered a fashion boutique to pull one of its adverts which shows a model wearing lingerie from her collection while draped in a mink coat.
McCartney -- a well known animal rights campaigner; strict vegetarian; and strident anti-fur campaigner -- was angered after spotting the photograph in fashion bible Vogue.
The ad, by London boutique Hockley, shows a model sporting a black lace Stella McCartney bra while clothed in a $13,000 full length mink, black and white coat.
A source close to Stella, 36, said, "If Stella knew it was going to be used by Hockley there is no way she would have lent it.
"It was loaned to a stylist in good faith, but when Stella saw the picture she was furious. Stella is disgusted."
Hockley, who are renowned for stocking the world's best fur designers, has apologized for the mistake and promised not to use the advert again.
A spokesman for the fashion house said, "Hockley is aware of Stella McCartney's views and is respectful of them. This was an unfortunate mistake and Hockley would not intentionally make anyone feel uncomfortable."
