Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Spend The Weekend Apart

It looks like Katie Holmes may finally be getting some time away from husband Tom Cruise.

The couple, who have have rarely spent much time apart in their three years together, both enjoyed fairly different nights away from one another.

Katie, in New York preparing for her Broadway debut in the remake of Arthur Miller's All My Sons, took daughter Suri, 2, to check out the Broadway hit Mary Poppins. The cute tot joined her mom a week ago when the former Dawson's Creek star made a quick overnight trip home to L.A., only to slip back almost unnoticed.

Tom, who remains 3,000 miles away in California, attended the $500 a plate Anniversary Gala at the Church of Scientology's Celebrity Center in L.A. The annual event -- the biggest in the church's calendar -- is held on the rooftop of the building and, in addition to the Top Gun star, often brings in a whole host of A-list Scientologists like John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston; Erika Christensen; Elisabeth Moss; and Leah Remini.

Katie, 29, will hit Broadway on Sept. 18.
