Lauren Conrad Wants to Star in Gossip Girl

Lauren Conrad wants to appear -- as herself -- in The CW's Gossip Girl.

The 22-year-old star of MTV's The Hills says she'd love to guest star on the show in its upcoming sophomore season.

"I love Gossip Girl," Conrad told E! Online. "I just love it. It's so gossipy and superficial. It's amazing."

But maybe she'll just kick back and watch the show instead. "I probably wouldn't want to see myself on there because it would ruin it for me," she explains. "I like watching other people get gossiped about. It makes me feel better."

Conrad -- who plays herself on an upcoming episode of ABC Family's Greek -- is often seen around Los Angeles with My Boys star Kyle Howard, but she insists she's single.

"My love life is an absolute trainwreck," Conrad said. "And half of my friends are guys…It's kind of embarrassing, because you're out with a group of friends and the next day it says you're dating one of them and lap dancing, too. You have to say, 'You know, I'm sorry, but that kind of comes with the territory.'"
