Madonna Celebrates 50th Birthday With Guy Ritchie

Madonna and her movie-making husband Guy Ritchie put on a united front last night as they stepped out to celebrate the singer's 50th birthday party.

Amid claims her eight-year marriage to Guy, 39, is on the rocks, the Material Girl looked radiant as she draped herself in silver jewelery and held a diamond-encrusted handbag, which appeared to bear her own name for the bash at west London's exclusive Volstead club.

Ritchie, looking like a typical English country gent, was sporting a green suit and blue tie.

One onlooker says, "Madonna looked fabulous for 50—she lit up the place as she walked into the club.

"They looked very happy. It wasn't just her necklaces and handbags which were sparkling—she was too."

Another said, "If there are problems in their marriage—you couldn't tell. They both looked very happy to be in each other's company."
