Scarlett Johansson Vows to Learn Spanish

Scarlett Johansson has vowed to learn Spanish.
The actress -- who stars alongside Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem in new Woody Allen film Vicky Cristina Barcelona -- says she struggled to understand what her co-stars in the romantic comedy were saying when they screamed insults at each other in Spanish.
She says, "I know a little bit. Penelope and Javier and the whole Spanish crew were encouraging me to learn. Penelope would say, 'Oh, I wanted to ask you,' and I'd be like, 'No, ask me in Spanish.'
"Then when she did, I was like, 'I have no idea what you just said.' I didn't really know what was going on!"
Johansson, 24, recently criticized Hollywood's treatment of older women -- insisting the movie industry is harder on women than men.
She told Britain's Hello! magazine, "Women kind of wilt as men sort of achieve as they get older, like wine or whatever. It's like, 'Oh, she's past her prime and she can't play a sex symbol.'
"It's just a preconceived notion about women in general and particularly in this industry. It's a very vain, vain industry."
